Legal Support for Protestors arrested
during the Uprisings of 2020 and 2021.
Since George Floyd was murdered in South Minneapolis on Memorial Day Weekend of 2020, the Twin Cities have seen powerful mass mobilizations of community members demanding justice and legal system transformation. As there have been arrests made, the Legal Rights Center seeks to support community members in navigating their charges and the legal process. We do this in a few ways:
Twin Cities Legal Support Line
Operated in Partnership with the National Lawyers Guild. If you are out protesting and need legal support, call the Legal Support Line at 612-444-2654. If you are organizing an event and anticipate arrests being made, you can also call this number to activate the line.
If arrested remember that you have rights - check out our Know Your Rights page for more information!

Questions about your case? Questions about arrestee organizing? Feeling uncertain about what you should be doing or what your next steps are? Let's talk about it. We will have attorneys present to help field legal questions as well as folks who can help with arrestee organizing questions.
