Caelyn Steele
End Youth Prisons MN Campaign Lead

Caelyn (she/her) joined the Legal Rights Center as the End Youth Prisons MN Campaign Lead in 2022. Her passion for youth justice has driven her work in advocating for and empowering young people. Caelyn has mentored and advocated for youth since the age of 15 through various community programs. These experiences and opportunities have led her to pursue a career in youth justice.

Caelyn believes that ending the cycles of incarceration is necessary to move towards a world where all youth can grow and thrive. She is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota with a degree in Sociology of Law, Criminology, & Justice which has opened opportunities for her to do work in social justice, research, and policy advocacy.
