Josh joined the Legal Rights Center in 2016 after serving as the Director of Public Policy and Advocacy for the Council on Crime and Justice. He specializes in helping individuals overcome the burdens of criminal records, as well as training others (e.g. employers, community, and criminal justice personnel) about -- and leading policy advocacy efforts regarding -- the disparate impacts which result from criminal records. Josh graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School after which he began his career practicing in the Ramsey County Public Defender’s office. He was past-president of the Minnesota Community Corrections Association, and currently serves as co-chair of the Second Chance Coalition. |
