AmeriCorps Promise Fellow
Izy recently graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology: Law, Crime, and Deviance. During college, Izy worked in the AVID program tutoring first-generation college-hopeful students in North East St. Paul.
Izy is driven by her passion for incorporating restorative practices into schools, and is trained as both a Restorative Circle Keeper and Restorative Conference Facilitator. She believes that restorative practices combine common sense, empathy, and accountability for giving youth holistic and meaningful support in repairing harm. Izy hopes to deepen her understanding of restorative practices, and is thrilled to have the opportunity to do so at the Legal Rights Center.
